When Crysis 2 was released, the so called "limited edition" wasn't as limited as it was made to seem. I've seen quite a few "Limited Editions" on store shelves months after it's release.
I'm wondering if this will be the case with Battlefield 3. If it is, there really isn't a point in pre-ordering if I could simply walk into a store and buy the limited edition on release date.
Simply put, is the Limited Edition really the standard edition for now?Is the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3 truly limited edition or is it just a marketing scheme?
I'm not really accurate on this answer but i'll give it a shot.
If i'm correct this should be pretty much the same thing that Medal of Honor did as well as Crysis 2 like you said. I bought Medal of Honor 7 months after its release and it only came in the limited edition packaging for regular price still with the battlefield 3 beta invitation inside.
My best bet for you is to just get the game whenever you feel like it. Most companies include pre-ordering with bonus in-game content. Although most players would rather just have the game.
Well i hope this helps, and hope you enjoy battlefield 3!Is the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3 truly limited edition or is it just a marketing scheme?
Well for games like Call of Duty, it usually is limited, its almost impossible to get your hands on any special edition after release. im going to assume that BF3 is for a limited time as well.Is the Limited Edition of Battlefield 3 truly limited edition or is it just a marketing scheme?
I think Limited Edition is the standard edition, due to the reason that they have the beta version
I pre-order it so that i got some free shipping and also the free tools
Probably just a marketing schem!
