Can I get married somewhere ON the battlefield in Gettysburg, PA?

I have always LOVED Gettysburg, and I am hoping to get married there. Does anyone know if you can get married on the battlefield there? If not, can you reccomend any areas that we could rent, that aren't sky-high in price, and that we could provide our own planning for?Can I get married somewhere ON the battlefield in Gettysburg, PA?
There is only ONE PLACE in the Gettysburg Military Battlefield area where weddings (or special events) are permitted and that is the Amphitheater. There is one bed and breakfast who claims they are on "battlefield" property and they do weddings there. Start with the Visitors Bureau, they will put you in contact with the "government" office that issues permits for the Amphitheater. And, yes, there is a charge for the permit.



Don't put yourself in jeopardy by getting married at the Amphitheater without a permit or in a different location. Many of the park rangers are dressed like tourists and they do have the authority to arrest you.

I need to call them. I want to see about getting married there. I just want to have something small, just family and very close friends and not very long, on the top of Little Roundtop, where my fiance asked me to marry him. I don't want chairs or anything either. If not, pictures then at least

You can call the office associated with the battlefield and ask. If not there, I'm sure you can find some nice places in the area to marry close by.



A quick google search would provide info.
