Does anyone know how to make Battlefield 2142 work with windows Vista?

I'd like to play battlefield 2142 but whenever i start it it crashes, it seems like a really good game so your help is strongly appreciated.Does anyone know how to make Battlefield 2142 work with windows Vista?
Vista should run the game fine, although it is best to have a administrator vista user account, and turn User Account Control off.

Some people have to run the game in XP compatability mode by right clicking on the BF2142 shortcut, select properties, compatability and tick the box.

However the game is prone to crashing, but when it crashes helps to determine the cause.

A crash back to desktop after clicking the bf2142 shortcut and the splash screen coming up, usually means your graphics card, monitor or drivers are not compatible with the game.

Monitor needs to support 60Hz refresh rate or higher, also 800x600 resolution or higher.

Graphics card needs to be supported by the game, most new cards are, most onboard graphics are not. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/ref鈥?/a>

Drivers can be updated from manufacturers website, or 3rd party, fyi there were problems with the new nvidia drivers. http://www.omegadrivers.net/omega_driver鈥?/a>

A crash when joining a server is usually cd-key or directx related.

A crash when playing the game is usually punkbuster related.

All of the above can also be your firewal/antivirus blocking the game.Does anyone know how to make Battlefield 2142 work with windows Vista?
I loved that game (and all others in the Battlefield series except "Vietnam").

I don't think that it can play with Vista (but maybe I'm wrong). Call tech-support and ask them. Good luck.Does anyone know how to make Battlefield 2142 work with windows Vista?
call EA's tech support or any of the 2142 fan-forums, they should be able to help you.
