Most shooters and other games on the PC have free online, the only real games with a monthly fee are MMORPGs like World of Warcraft etc. Just check ahead of time.
The game itself doesn't charge you. If you have a ps3 then it will be completly free. Same goes for pc. However, if you have a 360 you have to pay the standard fee microsoft charges for online use.
