When I launch battlefield 1942, a black screen comes up and the game crashes. The game worked before just fine. Now that I reinstalled it it wont work anymore!! Can anyone help?Battlefield 1942 wont start and crashes at black screen before anything else has time to happen?
There might have been complications while you were setupping the game. I recommend you try uninstalling it and re-installing it.
You can also try updating your graphic cards drivers and get the latest Dirext X available for you.

i dont know if this will help, but edit the properties of your battlefield shortcut, and add "+restart 1" to the end of it
so it looks something like this
battlefield1942.exe +restart 1
this takes the intro video out and goes directly into the game. when i had problems it would freeze on the intro this is a way to bypass itBattlefield 1942 wont start and crashes at black screen before anything else has time to happen?
The same thing happened to me.... if there is one try running in safe mode. Now i play on a different pc D:
